Two Exciting Ways to “Vote Marvel” (And Get Registered to Win Some Great Prizes!)

Voting Ends On Saturday, September 9!!!

Super Heroes,

Just a brief posting to provide you Marvel-ous people with some info about the two exciting ways that you can “Vote Marvel” in our charitable campaign that officially kicks off tomorrow (Saturday, May 6, aka “Free Comic Book Day”) at Elite Comics in Overland Park, Kansas.

Thru the “Vote Marvel” campaign, Kansas City area Marvel fans are being invited to help us determine what Marvel movie will be shown at our fantastic fall fundraiser that’s being held on Saturday, September 16 at the historic Folly Theater in downtown Kansas City, Missouri to benefit the Super Heroes for Doa’a and Children’s Mercy Hospital.

Way #1: At a Pop Up Polling Event

The first way that you can “Vote Marvel” is at a Pop Up Polling Event, like the one that’s taking place tomorrow at my friend, William Binderup’s, amazing comic book shop.

All day tomorrow at Elite Comics, super volunteers like Trick Arrows (a cosplayer who dresses up like Hawkeye Kate Bishop, the Best Hawkeye), members of the Just-Us League (a terrific charitable organization that uses their love for cosplay to help out worthy causes like the Super Heroes for Doa’a), and myself will be on hand asking people what Marvel movie they’d like to have shown at our amazing autumnal fundraiser at the Folly Theater on Saturday, September 16.

People who take part in our surveys tomorrow will get registered to win a $25 gift certificate to Elite Comics that’s being donated by yours truly. The prize drawing for this gift certificate will be held on Wednesday, May 10, and the winner’s name will be posted in our Wednesday Update for next week.

After we make the Pop Up Polling Event at Elite Comics into a big success, we will setting up similar events at various locations in the Kansas City metro thru early September. And we will post more about future Pop Up Polling Events as more information becomes available.

Way #2 Voting Online

People can vote online for their favorite Marvel movies at SuperHeroesForDoaa.com/MarvelMovieKC. And they can vote for their favorite Marvel movies once per day, thru Saturday, September 9 (when the “Vote Marvel” campaign ends).

When people “Vote Marvel” online, they also get registered to win great prizes in the weekly prize drawings that will be held each Wednesday (beginning on Wed May 17) thru Wednesday September 13.

And they additionally get registered to win in the grand prize drawing that will be held at the fall fundraiser at the Folly Theater on Saturday September 16.

The prize for the Wednesday, May 17 drawing is a $25 gift card to Elite Comics that’s being generously donated by me. And the lucky winner of that prize will be identified in the Wednesday Update that will be posted for that week.

More information about future prize drawings will be posted in the near future as the info becomes available.

About Super Heroes for Doa’a

Joe Hoffman (aka “Cowtown Joe”) began the Super Heroes for Doa’a (a charitable program that was inspired by Joe’s love for Marvel team comics like the X-Men and the Avengers) to help bring Doa’a Al-Dalou, a young lady living in the Gaza Strip of Palestine, back to Kansas City so that she can receive some more medical treatment.

Joe previously had the honor of helping Elizabeth Alex (then a news anchor for KSHB 41 News) bring Doa’a (who at the time was a small child, not yet two years old) to Kansas City so that she could receive some much needed medical care while he was working for (at the time) US Representative Dennis Moore (KS-03).

For more information on how Joe was able to help out Doa’a in the past, and how he is working to assist her now in the present, please visit SuperHeroesForDoaa.com!

Joe’s Cowtown Foundation, a 501(c)(3) Tax Exempt Not-For-Profit (EIN 92-1331821). All donations made to our organization are tax-deductible to the full extent of the law.
